    20 years starting from filing date
  • Document required:
    Specification,drawings, applicant/inventor(s) names, power of attorney and affidavit
  • Patent prosecution:
      1. Examination procedure and preferential right
      2. Patent publication will take place 18 months after the filing date
  • Maintenance fee:
    payment to be made on the 3.5th year, 7.5th year and 11.5th year from certificate issue date

Design patent

Trademark

    10 years from register date, renewal for every 10 years term
  • Trademark type:
    Trademarks, service marks, collective marks and certification marks
  • Trademark format:
    Traditional (words, logos) and sense (sound, smell, touch and taste)
  • Document required:
    Power of attorney, words/logo, merchandise detail, usage evidence (label, photo) and first appearance in U.S.A
  • Renewal term:
    Renewal 6 months before expires date.
